Snow will exit the mid-Atlantic and southern New England coasts
on Friday, leaving slick travel in parts of the Northeast. Feet of
lake-effect snow will bury the Great Lakes. Rain will expand along the
Gulf Coast. Snow will fall from the southern Plains to the central
Appalachians. Most other areas will be dry and unseasonably cold.
