Unseasonable warmth will persist along the far Eastern Seaboard and Gulf Coast on Wednesday, promoting showers and potentially severe southern storms. From the Great Lakes to the central Plains northward, colder air will spill into the country resulting in lake-effect snow and Corn Belt snow showers. Rain will continue from San Francisco to Seattle.
