Dorcus Beads

Derek Kaufman Published:

Derek Kaufman and Ben Gerber, seniors attending Malone University are looking to distribute Dorcus Bead products to local area shops, stores and any other interested parties. Dorcus Beads is an organization located in Nairobi Kenya.

The many women who work in this organization are either widowed or suffering from the HIV/AIDS virus. The income earned by the selling of these beads is used to support their own children and those around them vulnerable to the viruses. The beads are handcrafted and made from recycled newspapers, magazines, books, etc.

If you are interested in buying any of their products, would like to see a catalog, or have questions, please contact us at begerber1@malone.edu or dlkaufman1@malone.edu. Or, you can contact us by phone at 330-473-9207 or 330-473-8633.
