The holidays are in the past, Christmas lights are down, decorations are packed away, the fudge, cookies, scramble and puppy chow have all been either given away or consumed. We have been reminded that January can be a tough month, with ice, snow, bone-chilling wind, and minus wind chill temperatures. It is Ohio and we know what to expect and how to prepare. 2017 is busy with activities! Look on the bright side, January is half over and it is only 67 days until spring arrives! It is time to tally the account books on 2016 and prepare to do taxes. Farmers are spending time with fertilizer, seed, spray and machinery salesmen and putting in orders. Gardeners are thumbing through seed catalogs and dreaming of fresh peas, tomatoes, etc. Livestock farmers are anticipating new babies. Each day is just a little bit longer. We are springing forward!
