Comedy Night to benefit bookmobile

Published: March 25, 2017 5:00 AM

On Saturday, April 1 -- "All Fool's Day" -- the Killbuck Valley Writers' Guild presents the eighth consecutive Comedy Night at the Millersburg Hotel. The much-anticipated evening will raise money for the Holmes Country District Public Library's Bookmobile Fund. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.; only those older than 18 will be admitted. Suggested donation is $10 for a full evening of entertainment (drinks and a full menu are available).

Topping the bill is a return visit from the popular comedienne Leslie Battle. She is supported by comics Ray Buckland, John Lorson, Theresa Rabbitts, Joe Varga and Bob Sigler. The master of ceremonies will be library director Bill Martino.

Judging by past events, it is recommended to arrive early, since it is always standing room only.

Comedy Night was started by Ray Buckland in 2013 and has taken place every six months, growing more and more popular each time.

All the money raised has gone to the library, with the most recent donations channeled to the Bookmobile Fund.
