'Get Smart' event to raise funds for Every Woman's House

A "Get Smart" event to benefit Every Woman's House will be held Saturday, Dec. 1 at Millersburg United Methodist Church, located on state Route 39.

There will be more than $1,000 worth of gift baskets, gift certificates and other items raffled off. Bring a package of diapers, toiletries or feminine hygiene items to be donated to EWH and receive 10 free raffle tickets. Drawings will begin at 2 p.m.; must be present to win.

Free "Get Smart" classes will be offered throughout the day. The schedule is: 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., "Smart Holiday Cooking" by Isobel Dunkley with Pampered Chef; 11 a.m.-1 p.m., "Smart You: Inside & Out" by Ada Troyer with Arbonne; 11 a.m.-1 p.m., "Smart Decorating" by Ellie Ramseyer with Ellie's Prim Decor; 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., "Smart Healthy Cooking" by Arlene Miller with Wildtree; and 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., "Smart Money Ideas" with Lisa Grassbaugh with MetLife.

Free hair and makeup consultations, as well as free glamour shot proofs, will be given away.

Food by Stacy Ramseyer will be available by donation only.
