Charm Engine, Ltd, just one quarter mile north of Charm, was selected by Snapper Pro to host their Regional Service Training.

Snapper Pro is a division of Briggs and Stratton, offering 35 brands of equipment.

"Snapper Pro provides service training to more than 40 dealers each year," says Commercial Sales Manager Jeff Wright. "Snapper Pro invites and hosts dealers to assist them in learning to better service their customers by fixing the product right the first time."

In addition to the hands-on experience, ongoing training is available through the website.

There were 47 service technicians representing 17 dealerships that attended the service training on Thursday, Dec. 6.

"Typically, the training is held at a hotel," stated Andy Doan, who conducts the training sessions. "This is the first time dealers in this region experienced top-notch sales and marketing here at Charm Engine. This one-day training event has given dealers a chance to network with other dealers to pick up ways to improve shop organization."

Comments heard from the visiting service technicians: Very well set up, customer friendly showroom, efficiently run and well organized.

Paul and Robert Shetler were notified this summer that they were chosen to host the service training for the North Central Region. "We were excited to have the opportunity to share our facility," said Robert. "There was quite a bit of work involved to set up for the training, but we were able to get our technicians trained without sending them off-site."

Charm Engine has offered the Snapper Pro line for three years, earning a position in the top 10 dealers across the United States for the last two.

Charm Engine is currently the largest Snapper Pro dealership in the nation.

Ken Vesely, district sales manager, was asked, what has made Charm Engine so successful.

"Paul and Robert always ask, how can we improve? They have the whole package: dedicated customer service with strong relationships and extensive product knowledge," said Vesely. "When I first met with Robert, we set a three-year plan for the business. They accomplished that goal in the first year."

With nearly 400 service jobs this year, Charm Engine has an extensive service shop with a very low percentage coming back for a second repair.

You don't have to be a commercial buyer to experience the quality customer service provided by Charm Engine. Stop by to see the full line of outdoor power equipment for every season.

Charm Engine is located at 4741 State Route 557. Hours of operation are Monday and Wednesday 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday, 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
