McKee reappointed Holmes auditor

The Holmes County Republican Central Committee met Tuesday, Dec. 18, and reappointed Jackie McKee as county auditor for the remainder of the term to which she was elected, which expires March 15, 2015. McKee had resigned as auditor November 30 to claim retirement under the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System, and had applied to the Central Committee to be reappointed auditor for the remainder of the term. The Central Committee is authorized by state law to fill vacancies in elected county offices held by members of the party.

The Central Committee has 19 members, one elected at the primary election by the Republican voters in each precinct in the county, to serve a four year term. The current committee term expires in 2014.
