The Ohio Aggregates and Industrial Minerals Association honored state Rep. Dave Hall from Ohio's 70th District with the Robert A. Wilkinson Award. The award recognizes individuals who, although not employed by the aggregates industry, have provided leadership on a national or state level and have been instrumental in developing policies that recognize the importance of the aggregates and industrial minerals industry.
Speaking to a group of more than 400 industry professionals, OAIMA Executive Director Patrick Jacomet commented on Hall's achievements.
"As chair of the House Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee, Chairman Hall guided the committee through two iterations of the Great Lakes Compact Implementation Language, an historic pact now in place to protect and set responsible standards for water use and conservation within the basin. His knowledge of the subject matter and leadership were instrumental in the passage of the second version of the Great Lakes Compact," Jacomet said.
Hall lives in Millersburg with his wife, Anita, and has two children, Kyle and Kimberly.
Hall serves as chairman of the House Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee, Finance and Appropriations Committee, and the Finance Subcommittee on Agriculture and Development, and is a member of the newly created Manufacturing and Workforce Development Committee.
