Jan Lemon gave an overview on Story Hour for the past year which had an average attendance of 12 preschoolers. She reported that Story Hour for preschoolers would run from February through May 18 every Thursday from 10-11 a.m. The third Thursday of the months of February, March and April will be held at Holmesville School with Stacey Stallman reading stories and doing a craft in the school library.

Cheryl Nelson and Delores Schlegel gave a summary of their Thursday summer program helping 4-H members from the community with their project books and projects. It was very successful with several members showing up from both community clubs: Prairie Partners and Clover Club. They plan to continue the program again for the 2017 summer months.

Croskey asked for volunteers who were interested in planning the 2017 summer reading program. Jill Crone, Jackie Lewis, Edna Zimmerly and Croskey volunteered to be on the committee.

Croskey also asked for ideas for Community Nights for the upcoming year. Several suggestions were given and will be discussed further.
