KILLBUCK -- The Holmes County Historical Society will hold a Valentine Dinner Theater event at the Duncan Theater in Killbuck, on Saturday. Feb. 11. The society has the only blu-ray Hi Def copy of the movie shot locally called "Love Finds You in Valentine."
Since the premier showing there have been many requests to show it again on the big screen. The idea was to put together a Valentine special event with a dinner and movie option. Sixty seats will be held for a candlelight dinner prior to the movie presentation. An elegant dinner will be catered by Log Cabin Catering, who was the official meal provider for the movie production team while in the area.
This is a great time to bring that someone special to dinner in a restored small town Art Deco theater and enjoy the movie on the big screen. The cost of the dinner/movie package is $30 per person for members and $35 for non members of the Historical Society. Those who don't want to experience the dinner theater option you can just come with your Valentine and view the movie by donation. The dinner will be at 6 p.m. with the box office opening at 7 for movie only tickets by donation.
What a great way to celebrate Valentines Day and bring back those days of the small town theater while enjoying the only large screen copy of a movie shot locally. Many locals were extras in the movie. Production included scenes of downtown Millersburg, Presbyterian Church, Victorian House Museum, Windy Hill Horse Farm plus other area locations such as Brietenbach Winery, Walnut Creek Cheese and the Reeves Home in Dover.
Dinner seating is limited so make your reservations today. Forms are available at www.holmeshistory.com or facebook at facebook.com/victorianhousemuseum or you can call in your reservations by phone at 330-674-0022.
