WALNUT CREEK -- The Amish Country Lodging Council Winter Workshop will feature a staff health and wellness and medical marijuana implications workshop at the Wallhouse Hotel in Walnut Creek on Wednesday, Jan. 18, from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Kerry MacQueen, health educator/injury prevention coordinator for the Holmes County General Health District's Injury Prevention Program, will give the presentation on health and wellness. The Injury Prevention Program is one of four in Ohio that focuses on falls prevention in older adults.
MacQueen has over 25 years' experience working with older adults in both adult daycare and long-term care settings.
During MacQueen's presentation, she will share important information on: falls awareness within businesses, falls prevention basics, home safety, and discussion on daily exercise/physical activity.
Eileen Keller with One Eighty Inc. will present on the legal, social and business impact related to medical marijuana. One Eighty Inc., formerly known as STEPS at Liberty Center, provides the only full-service substance abuse treatment and educational programs in Wayne and Holmes Counties.
