MILLERSBURG -- Bam Bam's Backyard Barbecue and Catering, located at the corner of West Jackson and North Mad Anthony, recently opened its doors for business.
It is open at 7 a.m. Monday through Saturday, and on Sunday at 9 a.m.
"This is exciting stuff for the Burg," said Judy Lamp, executive director of Historic Downtown Millersburg.
Kevin Hatch and his wife, Vicki, are regulars at Holmes County events and decided to make Millersburg their home.
"We love the downtown and we just knew it was the place to be," Vicki Hatch said. "I have traveled the state and there just isn't any place like Millersburg."
Her husband agrees.
"We just love Millersburg," Kevin Hatch said. "For many years we have traveled to Millersburg with our food trucks for The Antique Festival and The Holmes County Fair. The people are just so friendly and we always knew, we wanted to live here.
"When we decided to follow our dream of owning a restaurant there was never a question, it was always Millersburg," he continued.
Sean Gooch will be running the restaurant for Hatches, who live in Wadsworth. Gooch has run a restaurant near Lancaster and is excited about the opportunity to come work in Millersburg.
Bam Bam's features barbecue pulled pork, ribs and chicken. The restaurant will be experiencing a soft opening, to see how things go before having a grand opening either later this month or next month.
