Stephen P. Schwarzwalder, worshipful master of Garfield Lodge Number 528, Free and Accepted Masons in Shreve presented a check for $2,205 to Erin Rammel, coordinator of Team Triway Special Olympic program. The money was raised through a Garfield Lodge No. 528 F&AM sponsored Bowling Tournament held at Triway Lanes on Dec. 17. Team Triway, associated with Special Olympics Ohio, currently supports a bowling team with athletes primarily from Shreve Elementary School, Triway Junior High and Triway High School. There is also an athlete from Wooster City School and an athlete from Green Local Schools in Smithville who participates on Team Triway. The "Team Triway" Bowling Team bowls locally at Triway Lanes. In June 2017, the bowling team will travel to Columbus, Ohio for the 2017 Special Olympics Summer games. Special Olympics is a year- round program of athletics and competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Ohio Freemasons, both at the local and state levels, have supported Special Olympics for over 35 years.
