The Holmesville/Prairie Township Library Summer Reading Program begins on June 7. It will be Wednesdays from 10-11 a.m. The theme will be: "Be a Winner in Our Town: Read!" Program specifics are:

■ June 7, 14, 21, 28: My Plate, My Wins -- Sharon Rebmann, OSU Extension Program Assistant, will teach about healthy habits. There will be relay games, obstacle courses and bean bag tosses. Kids will make healthy snacks to enjoy and stories will be read.

■ July 5, 12, 19, 26: Our Town -- Shirley Croskey will be taking the kids on mini walking trips to visit the fire station, the post office, town hall and the pizza shop. The kids will hear a story at each community place and will meet firemen, postal workers, the mayor and the friendly employees at the pizza shop. Snacks will be provided.

■ Aug. 2: The final session will be for the kids who have met the reading goal for the summer. The kids will tie-dye T-shirts and have a pizza/ice cream party. Be a winner and meet the Summer Reading goal.
