After hosting the Classic in the Country, the Hiland girls basketball team got back to Inter-Valley Conference action, and rolled up a pair of easy win last week.
Hiland 94, Newcomerstown 10
Hiland wasn't taking any prisoners in this IVC clash with Newcomerstown, as it bolted to a 59-4 lead at halftime. The Lady Hawks the put up a 22-0 run in the third quarter in moving to 14-1 overall and 11-0 in the IVC.
Melissa Hostetler led six different girls in double -figures with 18 points, while Morgan McMillen had 16 points and seven rebounds. Kimberly Miller had 13 points and six boards off the bench, while Tiffany Weaver knocked in a dozen and recorded six caroms. Sara Keim netted 11 points, and Kennedy Schlabach finished with 10 points and seven assists.
Hiland 83, Sandy Valley 14
Hiland raced out to a 51-8 lead at the half, and Sara Keim connected on 5 of 7 3-pointers in finishing with a game-high 19 points as the Hawks rolled past the Cardinals in IVC action in Magnolia.
Morgan McMillen added 16 for Hiland, with a total of 12 different Hawks scoring in the contest. Angela Troyer and Tiffany Weaver each pulled down seven rebounds.
