Betty J. Fisher, 80, of Simons Drive, Sugarcreek, died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, at her home after a lengthy illness.
She was born Aug. 30, 1932, in Dundee to the late Glen and Prudence (Kaufman) Hostetler, and married Glen C. Fisher on Jan. 30, 1950. He survives.
In 1996, she retired from the former Owens-Illinois Co. in Berlin, and was a member of Dover-New Philadelphia Bowlers Hall of Fame.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are children, Sue (Kenny) Stein of Dundee, Pat (Bill) Dettmer of Millersburg, Peggy Troyer (John Ladrach) of Dover and Clayton (Nancy) Fisher of New Philadelphia; grandchildren, Ben (Dorothea) Stein, Rachel (Corey Collier) Stein, Sheri Miller, Tim (Carie) Miller, Clint (Lisa) Troyer, Emily (L.W.) Beckley, Nathan (Amber) Fisher, Garrett (Kate Wright) Fisher and Sara (Josh Roach) Fisher; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Beulah "Snooks" Rentsch.
Services were Saturday, Oct. 20 at Dundee United Methodist Church, with pastor Ray Garvin officiating. Burial was in Dundee Cemetery.
Arrangements were handlede by Smith-Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek.
