John Dombeck, 73, Wooster

WOOSTER -- John F. Dombeck, 73, Wooster, died Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at his residence with his family by his side.

Friends may call tonight (Thursday, Nov. 8) from 5-8 p.m. and Friday from 10-11 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster.

Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Brother Al Pacheco officiating. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.

John was born Oct. 31, 1939, in Ellwood City, Pa., to Frank and Mafalda {Ricci} Dombeck and married Virginia Allen on June 29, 1968. After 44 years of marriage she survives.

He graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor of arts degree in math and was a chief chemist for Sperry-Rice for 16 years. He retired in 2005. John worked 46 years in the rubber industry.

He was a member of North Pointe Baptist Church, and was a volunteer for home delivery service for Wayne County Public Library. John enjoyed target practice, playing the guitar, classic cars, car shows and was an avid reader.

John will be deeply missed by his wife, Virginia; children Adam C. Dombeck of Powell, Shannon L. (Lonnie) Eash of Fredericksburg and Rachel R. Dombeck of Millersburg; grandchildren Isaac, Joshua, Leah and Noah; his father Frank; sisters Frances Falcsik and Grace Geniviva, both of Ellwood City Pa.; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Alan and Diana Scullion of Columbiana.

John was preceded in death by his mother, Mafalda; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Roland C. and Lula J. Allen; and brothers-in-law Cosmo Geniviva and Anthony Falcsik.
