Wayne E. "Boozie" Miller Sr., 75, of Millersburg, passed away Thursday morning, Nov. 1, at Compassionate Care Center, Canton, after an extended illness.
He was born Oct. 23, 1937, in Holmes County, the son of John and Erma Miller, and married Edna Belle Sturgeon on Dec. 16, 1969. She preceded him in death on Oct. 23, 2001.
He had worked for the Flxible Company in Millersburg and Loudonville. Wayne was a member of Millersburg Church of Christ, and was a past member of the Eagles. He enjoyed playing bingo, gardening and spending time with his family. He was also an avid NASCAR fan.
Surviving are children, Rebekah Miller, Donna (Dana) Moorhead and Wayne Miller Jr., all of Millersburg; grandchildren, Christopher, Nathanial and Elizabeth Miller, Ashley, Jessica, Brandon and Andrew Moorhead, Philip, Kirk and Robert Schaffter, Bradey Miller; home care provider and friend, Brandy Fry; and special grandson, Skylar Fry.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Ronald; a brother, Myron Miller; and a sister, Virginia Jones.
Services were Monday, Nov. 5 at Millersburg Church of Christ, with Pastor Doug Wells officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg.
Alexander Funeral Home in Millersburg assisted the family.
