Firmen N. Kaufman, 65, 7587 Winklepleck Road, NW, Dundee, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at Union Hospital in Dover.
He was born Sept. 21, 1947, to the late Nelson A. and Mary A. (Troyer) Kaufman and married Louella Borntrager on Oct. 2, 1969. She survives.
He worked at Stoney Point Supply in Sugarcreek and was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are children, Lorene (Norman) Mast of Millersburg, Jonas Kaufman of Dundee, Marcus (Marilyn) Kaufman, Leah (Wayne) Miller and Carole (Norman) Schlabach, all of Dundee, Freida (David) Swartzentruber of Navarre, Allen (Tina) Kaufman of Beach City, Lovina (Daniel) Miller of Sugarcreek and Firmen Jr. (Marneta) Kaufman of the home; 41 grandchildren; brothers, Atlee (Ella) Kaufman of Millersburg, Mervin (Holly) Kaufman of Dover, Marvin (Sharon) Kaufman and Ernest (Mary) Kaufman, both of Sarasota, Fla., and Nelson Jr. (Arie) Kaufman of Sugarcreek; and sisters, Miriam (Atlee) Miller of Sugarcreek, Irene (Alvin) Miller and Lovina (Ken) Yoder, both of Sarasota, Fla.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Allen Kaufman; and a grandson, Andrew Miller.
Services were Saturday, Nov. 24 at the residence, with Bishop Dennis J. Miller officiating. Burial was in the Miller-Burkholder Cemetery in Wayne Township, Tuscarawas County.
Arrangements were handled by Smith-Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek.
