Katie Stutzman, 72, of Holmesville, went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012 in the emergency room of Wooster Community Hospital.
She was born in Wayne County on July 25, 1940, to the late Elmer and Mattie (Schlabach) Chupp and married Ezra N. Stutzman on Oct. 25, 1964. He survives. She retired as a school bus driver for Southeast Local Schools and was a member of Berlin Christian Fellowship.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by children, Karen Sullivan of Dalton, Dan Stutzman of Solon, Donna Stutzman of Holmesville and John (Regina) Stutzman of Polk; grandchildren, Hannah, Riley, Morgan Emily and Carlie; sisters, Ida (Nelson) Yoder of Beach City, Betty (Russell) Thomas of Orrville and Barbara (Tom) Hill of Apple Creek.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Raber; and a brother, Levi Chupp.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Nov. 28 at Berlin Christian Fellowship, 5382 County Road 201, Berlin, with Pastor David Stutzman officiating. Burial was in the Longenecker Mennonite Church Cemetery near Winesburg.
Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton handled the arrangements.
