Sandra A. Walton, 74, of Wooster, passed away Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, at West View Manor Nursing Home.
She was born Jan. 12, 1938, in Shreve, the daughter of William J. and Elsie Mae Franks Yockey, and retired from the Gruter Foundation as a nurses aide.
She loved playing on the computer, bingo, doing puzzles, camping and taking care of her bird, Oscar.
Surviving are daughters, Alice (Doug) Martin of Holmesville, Tanya (Wayne) Hughes of Fresno and Donna (Eric) Munoz of Cleveland; grandchildren, Jennifer Williams, Carrie Hughes, Justin (Barb) Estill, Scott Walton, Matthew (Christina) Hughes, Joe Munoz and Jarod and Jenay Martin; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Marilyn McClure of Shreve; and a sister-in-law, Wilma Yockey of Shreve.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Richard H. Walton Jr. in 2003; brothers, William, Kenneth and Jack Yockey; and a sister, Donna Musselman.
Graveside services were Saturday, Dec. 22 in Prairie Township Cemetery, Holmesville, with pastor Eric Fairhurst officiating.
