Stanley H. Evans, 86, of 9 N. Corona St., Clearwater, Fla., died Aug. 22, 2012 at his home, with his family by his side.
He was born in Killbuck on Dec. 9, 1926 to the late Carlos and Bessie Evans.
He attended the Stuber Elementary School and graduated from Killbuck High School. He farmed with his father near Stillwell for many years and then moved to Clearwater, where he retired from the Clearwater City Fire Department after 20 years.
He was married to Edith Springer of Mount Vernon in June 1957. She survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, Scott (Kerry) Evans of New Lyme, Conn., Clara (Chuck) Crane of Holiday, Fla., George Evans of the home, Amy (Bill) Raynor of Lake Alfred, Fla.; grandchildren, Michael Evans of New Lyme, Conn. and Loren and Christina Crane of Holiday, Fla.; and brother, Blaine (Kaye) Evans of New Philadelphia.
At Stan's request, there were no calling hours or services. He was cremated and his remains were scattered over his favorite fishing hole in the Gulf of Mexico.
