Laura Ruth Hartman, 83, of Millersburg, passed away Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at her home after a brief illness, surrounded by her family.
She was born Jan. 12, 1930, in Allen County, to Aaron and Bernice (Barnt) Good and married Paul G. Hartman on Aug. 11, 1948. He survives.
Laura was a dedicated wife and mother. She enjoyed serving her family and others and loved cooking and gardening. She was a member of Grace Mennonite Church and had a heart for missions.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 64 years, are children, Sanford (Marilyn) Hartman of Millersburg, Darwin (Cindy) Hartman of Weatherford, Okl., Susan (Steve) Troyer of Elida, Angela (Robert) Bernhart of Wooster and John Hartman of Millersburg; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Betty (Clifford) Moore of Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Eldredge, Harold, and Ezra; sisters, Esther Diller and Eva Martin; and a grandson.
Services were Monday, Jan. 28 at Grace Mennonite Church. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, assisted the family.
