Lizzie (Miller) Schlabach, 90, 8132 Township Road 574, Holmesville, died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at the home of her daughter, Mary, with whom she had made her home.
She was born Jan. 27, 1922, in Geauga County to the late Moses N. and Barbara (Schlabach) Miller and married Abraham D. Schlabach on Dec. 5, 1940. He preceded her in death.
Surviving are children, Melvin (Esther) Schlabach of Kokomo, Ind., Barbara (Raymond) Yoder of Dundee, Paul (Martha) Schlabach and Mary Schlabach, both of Holmesville; 22 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; a half-sister, Anna of Douglasville, Ga.; brothers, Mose of Fredericksburg and Pete of Millersburg; sisters-in-law, Amanda Miller of Fredericksburg and Nellie Miller of Wilmot; and a brother-in-law, Neal Miller of Fredericksburg.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; half-brothers, Jake and John; half-sisters, Mary and Ida; sisters, Sarah, Martha and Alma; brothers, Sam, Eli, Andy and Vernon; and a great-grandson, Andrew.
Funeral services were Sunday, Jan. 20 at the Roy Hershberger residence, 8364 Township Road 323, Holmesville, with Bishop Harvey Bowman officiating. Burial was in the Yoder Cemetery, Prairie Township, Holmes County.
