Susie Hershberger, 89, 5317 Kidron Road, Apple Creek, died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at Affinity Medical Center in Massillon, after a brief illness.
She was born in Holmes County on Oct. 16, 1923, to the late Dan J. and Ella B. (Miller) Miller and married Eli D. Yoder on Dec. 13, 1945. He died June 5, 1956. She then married Eli D. Mast on Jan. 14, 1973. He died Sept. 12, 1994. On May 30, 1999, she married Sam E. Hershberger. He died Oct. 22, 2007.
She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Surviving are children, Dan (Saloma) Yoder of Fredonia, Pa., Mary (Jerry) Huebner of Nashport, Emery (Esta) Yoder of Millersburg, and Roy (Clara) Yoder of the home; stepchildren, Demas (Ella) Mast of Apple Creek, Ella Mast of Wooster, Nettie Wengerd of Apple Creek, Amanda Weaver, Eli (Sara) Hershberger, Melvin (Esther)
Hershberger and Atlee (Anna) Hershberger, all of Fredericksburg, and Henry (Mary) Hershberger of Wooster; 51 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; step-grandchildren; and step-great-grandchildren; brothers, Ben Miller of Wooster and Jacob (Ada) Miller of Fredericksburg; sisters, Amanda Raber, Sarah (Henry) Burkholder and Verna (Jonas) Miller, all of Millersburg, Ella (John) Hochstetler of Apple Creek, Mary White and Clara (Danny) Yoder, both of Wooster.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Andrew and Alvin Miller.
Funeral services were Sunday, Feb. 17 at the residence with Bishop Harry E. Weaver officiating. Burial was in the Hershberger Cemetery, Paint Township, Wayne County.
Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton, handled arrangements.
