MILLERSBURG -- Sarah A. Yoder, 88, formerly of Millersburg, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2016 at 1:18 a.m. surrounded by her family at the home of her daughter, Katie Miller after a three-year battle with dementia.
She was born on August 23, 1928 in Fryburg to Andy and Anna (Coblentz) Miller.
On November 2, 1950 she married Abe M. Yoder who preceded her in death on July 22, 1992.
Surviving are her seven children, Andy (Barb) Yoder of Millersburg, Katie (John) Miller of Berlin, Anna (Monroe) Miller of Millersburg, Lester (Janet) Yoder of Millersburg, Betty (John) Miller of Glenmont, Freda (Mark) Troyer of Sugarcreek and Mervin (Mary) Yoder of Millersburg; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Mary (Menno) Yoder of Dundee, Susan (Mose) Miller of Fredericksburg and Verna (Henry) Burkholder of Mount Hope; and 2 brothers, Jonas (Edna) Miller of Fredericksburg and Albert (Fannie) Miller of Mount Hope.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Eli Miller and Jacob Miller.
Friends may call Monday, December 12, from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday, December 13, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Dayspring Mennonite Church, 5641 Township Road 362, Millersburg. Funeral services were Wednesday, Dec. 14 at Freedom Fellowship Church, 6209 South Carr Road, Apple Creek, with Pastor John Yoder officiating. Burial took place at the church cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg.
