APPLE CREEK -- Raymond D. Miller, 72, 8099 Kidron Road, Apple Creek, died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017, at his home due to complications from Parkinson's Disease.
He was born in Holmes County on Feb. 3, 1944, to the late Daniel J. and Anna (Raber) Miller and married Niva E. Troyer on Nov. 12, 1968. She survives.
He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church, where he was ordained a minister in 1994.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are children, Miriam (Alfred) Chupp of Fredericksburg, Leroy (Iva) Miller and Ruby Miller, both of Apple Creek, Edwin (Ruby) Miller of Fredericksburg, Linda (Aden) Swartzentruber of the home and Aaron Miller of Apple Creek; 31 grandchildren; brothers, Roy (Mary) Miller and Mahlon (Ada) Miller; a sister, Betty (Vernon) Troyer; and a sister-in-law, Mable Miller.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two granddaughters; a brother, Jonas; and sisters, Emma, Ida and Ada.
Funeral services were Saturday, Jan. 14, at the family residence with Bishop Abe R. Hershberger officiating. Burial was in Hershberger Cemetery, Paint Township, Wayne County.
