WOOSTER -- Therese E. McCoy, 90, of Wooster, passed away Sunday, Jan. 22, 2017, at West View Healthy Living.
She was born June 24, 1926, in Sandyville, the daughter of Louis and Louisa Baer Soehnlen, and married H. Ronald McCoy in June of 1952. He preceded her in death on May 27, 2004.
She was a 1944 graduate of Brewster High School and St. Thomas School of Nursing in 1949. She was a registered nurse for more than 40 years, including 23 years at West View Manor. Over the years, Therese was often called upon by family, friends and neighbors to provide private care nursing.
Therese was an avid reader, loved art, classical music and family and friends.
Surviving are children, Margaret (Paul) Heban and Allison (John) Manson, both of Columbus, Ronald T. (Phyllis) McCoy of Burbank, John P. McCoy of Millersburg and Carl (Denise) McCoy of West Salem; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and many, many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Marian McCoy in 1957; a grandchild; and 15 siblings.

Friends were received Friday, Jan. 27, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, with a rosary recited at 5:30 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday, Jan. 28 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 527 Beall Ave., Wooster, with the Rev. Stephen Moran as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary Cemetery.
