MILLERSBURG -- Amanda M. Miller, 83, 4130 County Road 168, Millersburg, passed away on Friday, Jan. 20, 2017, at Pomerene Hospital, Millersburg, following complications from a massive stroke.
She was born March 16, 1933, to the late Monroe B. and Mattie (Hochstetler) Yoder, and married Monroe Miller Jr. on Aug. 10, 1950. He died on Oct. 24, 1996.
She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Surviving are children, Firman (RuthAnn) Miller of Dundee, Martha (Ivan) Weaver of the home, Edna (Andy) Burkholder of Holmesville, Erma (Mose) Yoder, Nettie (Norman) Troyer, Ivan (Ella) Miller, Mervin (Ellen) Miller, Raymond (Laurie) Miller and Nelson (Mary) Miller, all of Millersburg; 58 grandchildren; 124 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Ella Keim of Fredericksburg, Edna Yoder of Bellville and Lizzie Miller of Wilmot.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her parents; brothers, John, Milo and Ura; and sisters, Mary and Anna.
Services were Sunday, Jan. 22, at the Nelson Miller residence, 4060 County Road 168, Millersburg, with Bishop William J. Troyer officiating. Burial was in the Raber Cemetery, Walnut Creek Township, Holmes County.
Smith-Varns Funeral Home, Sugarcreek, assisted the family.
