WOOSTER -- Jerry Wayne Martin, 68, of Wooster, died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2017, at Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 23, 1948, in Dover, the son of Wilford E. and Lorain Lake Martin, and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked at Frito Lay and was a member of Jerome Post 749 American Legion.
Surviving are his wife, Laurie Ann Sherwin; a son, John (Lisa) Burgett of Wooster, and daughters, Teresa (John) Plott of Findlay and Kristie (Eric) Tincher-Boyles of Aurora; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Jean (John) Kemp of Logan, Utah, Linda (Larry) Morris of Loudonville and Tricia Martin of Gastonia, N.C.; and a brother, David Martin of Cayce, S.C.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services were Friday, Feb. 3, at 11 a.m. at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville.
