MILLERSBURG -- Mary Kay Welsh, 76, of Millersburg passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, Feb. 15, 2017 surrounded by her family, following an extended illness.
Funeral services were 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, at the First Presbyterian Church of Millersburg with the Rev. Burnetta Armour officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg. Those wishing to share a memory or make online condolences may do so by visiting www.alexanderfhinc.com.

Mary Kay was born July 27, 1940, in Adena and was the daughter of Everett and Margaret (Hanna) Knight.
Mary Kay graduated from Adena High School and was a 1962 graduate of The Ohio State University. She taught school in Columbus and worked for the Holmes County Office of Education. Mary Kay was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Millersburg where she was a deacon and an elder. She was a member of the Friends of the Holmes County Library and she founded the Diaper Bank at the Love Center. She enjoyed volunteering, gardening, was an avid reader and she loved her cat, "Puppy."
She is survived by her two children, daughter, Joyce (Thomas) Weber of Strongsville and son, Brad (Melissa) Welsh of Millersburg; five grandchildren, Katie, Glenn, Kelsey, Reagan and Jack; and her former husband, Barton Welsh of Shelbyville, Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Finley Knight.
