MASSILLON -- Mildred Lucille Krotky of Massillon, after 95 years on God's earth, passed on to join her family and friends on Sunday, March 5, 2017.
Services were Thursday, March 9, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Massillon, with pastor Tim Mishler officiating. Burial was in West Lawn Cemetery in Mount Eaton at 2 p.m. following a church luncheon. Online condolences and guest book registry are available at www.spidellfuneralhome.com.

She was born on the family farm near Kidron on Sept. 2, 1921, to the late Raymond and Edna (Saurer) Graber and graduated in 1939 from Dalton High School. She married Russell Krotky on Nov. 22, 1941. He died Dec. 3, 1991. During World War II, she worked in war production at Tyson's in Massillon, while her husband served in the U.S. Army in Australia and New Guinea.
Mildred was a homemaker who enjoyed caring for her family; gardening and tending her flowers; playing cards; participating in church activities, including cooking steak suppers and funeral dinners. She was an accomplished seamstress and assisted "Russ" for many years with the operation of the Brewster trap shoots by serving food and her famous pies. She loved family dinners and gatherings and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was a member of the former St. Paul United Church of Christ in Mount Eaton and was currently attending Calvary Baptist Church in Moffitt Heights.
Surviving are her daughter, Diana (Bob) Woodruff of Dalton, and sons, Kenneth (Bobbie) Krotky of Dalton and Rodney (Barbara) Krotky of Dundee. She was blessed with a grandson, Kevin (Amber) Krotky of Beach City and granddaughters, Heather Woodruff of London, England, Lisa (Ronald) Wascherle of Elizabethtown, Ky. and Amanda Helmick of Massillon. She enjoyed her great-grandchildren, Ryan and Emily Wascherle, Kylee, Kelsie and Owen Helmick.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister.
Her family and friends will miss her.
