FREDERICKTOWN -- Marilyn L. Kollas, 80, of Fredericktown, passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at Country Club Rehabilitation Center with her family by her side.
She was born on July 10, 1936, in Killbuck, to Lester and Dessie (Brush) Hammontree, and was a 1954 graduate of Fredericktown High School. After completing business college, she was employed at the Pentagon for the Department of the Army.
She married her late husband Ronald "Slim" Kollas on May 2, 1958, at National City Christian Church in Washington, D.C. After their marriage, she traveled with her husband and children during his 22-year military career. She enjoyed making numerous kinds of arts and crafts and was a member of Palmyra Church of Christ.
Surviving are children, Suzan (Kenneth) Graves, Steven (Patti) Kollas, William Kollas, and Jeffrey (Michelle) Kollas; grandchildren, Vernon (Meghan) Kollas, Robert (Gie) Kollas, Jerimy (Misty) Kollas, Amber (Wayland) West, Christopher Collins, Terry Collins, Shelbi Ronkainen, Nicolas Kollas, Macy Graves, Garrison Graves, Abby Graves, Autumn Graves, and Kenneth Graves; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Judith (Patrick) Zachmeyer; a niece, Rhonda (Jeff) Ries; and a nephew, David (Martha) Zachmeyer.

Services were held April 6, 2016, at Palmyra Church of Christ. Private burial was in Forest Cemetery, Fredericktown.
