GLENMONT -- Carolyn Jean Schlauch, 77, of Glenmont went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.
Carolyn was born Aug. 19, 1939, to Andy C. and Margaret G. (Marmet) Morris. She was a member of the Glenmont Church of Christ. She graduated from Glenmont High School, class of 1957. She was proud to be a cheerleader and majorette for the Glenmont Indians. She worked at Annatts and the telephone company in Wooster and spent much of her life working on the family farm.
She enjoyed teaching and helping children. She was a Sunday School teacher and youth leader at Glenmont Church of Christ and also served as a teacher at Round Lake Christian Camp. She was a 4-H adviser for many years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Children were always special to her.
Carolyn will be remembered for many things. She had a great sense of humor and was always laughing and joking with family and friends. She loved playing cards and games. She had beautiful flower gardens and always said even the weeds are God's beautiful garden. She was devoted to her family and showed compassion to others. Most importantly, she lived out her purpose on this Earth to serve her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and to tell others of his wonderful love and gift of eternal life. She touched the hearts and souls of those who knew her.
Surviving are her four children, Diana Schlauch of Bristol, Tenn., Susan (Trent) Taylor of Killbuck, Ed (Linda) Schlauch of Glenmont and Peg Sowers of Killbuck; a brother, Charles (Karen) Morris and a sister, Harriett (Leo) Burger, both of Killbuck; grandchildren, Jenny (Chad) Wengerd, Tyler (Briana) Schlauch, Ryan (Chalana) Sowers and Bob Taylor; great-grandchildren, Bryce and Briar Wengerd, Juliana and Carson Schlauch; and many special friends.
