DUNDEE -- Raymond Gingerich, 78, of Dundee, died Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at Pomerene Hospital in Millersburg.
He was born Sept. 20, 1938, in Tuscarawas County to the late Pete and Alma (Miller) Gingerich, and married Lucille York in 1967. She survives. They had recently celebrated their 50th anniversary.
He had worked at Alsco in Sugarcreek, was owner/operator of Raymond Gingerich Trucking for more than 20 years and was former owner of Farmerstown Meats for 23 years.
He was a member of Walnut Creek Mennonite Church and enjoyed the outdoors; especially fishing and hunting.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are his son, Dennis Gingerich of Dundee; a granddaughter, Grace Gingerich; and his sister, Elizabeth (Bob) Stempfly of Tennessee.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Edna Gingerich and Malinda Berg.
Memorial services wereTuesday, April 18, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Walnut Creek Mennonite Church, with Pastor Don Hamsher officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery prior to the services. Friends called Monday from 5-7 p.m. at Walnut Creek Mennonite Church in the sanctuary.
