BIG PRAIRIE -- Thomas K. Lendon Jr., 67, of Big Prairie, died Friday, April 7, 2017, at Sycamore Run Nursing Home in Millersburg.

Friends called Tuesday, April 11, 2017, from 4-6 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. A private graveside service was at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, with military rites, with the Revs. John and Beth Davis officiating. Memorial service was at Faith Harvest Fellowship, 116 E. South St., Wooster, on Saturday, April 15, at noon, with the Rev. Jerry O'Brien officiating. Thomas K. Lendon Jr.

Thomas was born July 4, 1949 in Neffs, to Thomas Keith II and Dorris Jane (Davis) Lendon.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1968-1970.

He married Ada Miller on Jan. 28, 1988.

Thomas was a self-employed painter. He was a member of Faith Harvest Fellowship. Thomas was a member of Shreve American Legion Post No. 67 and 11th Cav. Black Horse.

Thomas will be deeply missed by his wife, Ada, of 29 years; children, Jennifer (Paul) Lendon of Decatur, Indiana, and Thomas K. Lendon IV of Orrville; grandchildren, Joseph Miller, Elijah Lendon and Nehemiah Miller; brothers, Bob (Linda) Lendon of Sterling and John (Judy) Lendon of Gallion; and sister, Dorothy Wilson, of Gnadenhutten.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Larry Lendon; sister, Judy Rogers; and brother-in-law, Randy Wilson.
