FREDERICKSBURG -- Atlee D. Yoder, 75, of Fredericksburg, died peacefully on Thursday, April 27, 2017, at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster after a brief illness.
He was born July 4, 1941 in Mount Eaton to the late David J.C. and Malinda (Troyer) Yoder and married the former Mozell McVay on June 8, 1963. She survives.
Atlee retired in 2007 from 89 Building Inc. after 26 years of service and had formerly worked at Regal Ware in Wooster for 17 years.
Atlee loved fishing and enjoyed mushroom hunting in the spring, boating, traveling, working in his shop and doing woodworking.
He also enjoyed watching in the evening, Wheel of Fortune with Vanna White. He will be greatly missed.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Mozell, are children, Trudi (Dana) Blair of Moreland and Tod (Julie) Yoder of Fredericksburg; grandchildren, Morgan (Brandt) Smith of Wooster, Bart (Andrea) Yoder of Wadsworth, Greyden Yoder of Fredericksburg, Brittany Blair and Bryce Blair, both of Moreland; a great-grandson, Cameron Smith; sisters and brothers, Emma Yoder of Fredericksburg, Ann Billheimer of Wooster, Katie Detweiler of Apple Creek, Eli (Ada Marie) Yoder, Joe (Lydia Ann) Yoder and Edna Yoder, all of Fredericksburg and David Jr. (Elsie) Yoder of Sugarcreek; sisters- and brothers-in-law, Mattie Wengerd of Winesburg, Eli Miller of Wooster, Emma Yoder of Holmesville and Aden Mast of Fredericksburg; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Lovina Schlabach, Amanda Miller and Mary Mast; a brother, Andy Yoder; and a half-brother, Raymond Wengerd.
Services were Monday, May 1, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Fredericksburg Presbyterian Church, with Duane Detweiler officiating. Burial will be in Fredericksburg East Cemetery.
