WINESBURG -- Alma J. Miller, 69, of Winesburg, passed away into Glory peacefully on Thursday, April 27, 2017, at the Community Hospice House in New Philadelphia, with her husband at her side.
Alma was born in Millersburg on Jan. 17, 1948, to the late John and Clara (Hershberger) Miller and married Eli L. "Whitey" Miller on April 16, 1970. He survives.
She had lived all of her life in Holmes County and was a member of Gospel Light Chapel in Trail.
Alma lived a full life and enjoyed flowers, birding and collecting antiques.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are brothers-in-law, Wyman (Freda) Miller and David (Mary, deceased) Raber; brothers, Levi (Ada) Miller of Dundee, Melvin (Iva) Miller of Holmesville and Aden (Esther) Miller of Wilmot; sisters, Mary (Raymond) Miller and Anna (Harry) Yoder, both of Apple Creek, Ada (Abe) Yoder of Mount Eaton, Sara (Ervin) Yoder of Mount Hope, Nettie (Lester, deceased) Yoder of Baltic and Martha (Paul) Miller of Kidron; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers-in-law, Lester and Ammon Yoder; and sisters-in-law, Katie Miller and Mary Raber.
Funeral services were Sunday, April 30, 2017, at 10 a.m. at Gospel Light Chapel, 2743 County Road 168, Dundee. Burial was in the church cemetery. Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton handled arrangements.
