BALTIC -- Esther J. Yoder, 67, 5330 County Road 59, Baltic, died Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at her home after a lengthy illness.
She was born Dec. 10, 1949, in Holmes County to the late Jonas D. and Edna P. (Hershberger) Troyer, and married Andrew J. Yoder on March 24, 1970. He survives.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are children, Willis (Laura) Yoder of Millersburg, Mary (Robert) Miller of the home, Clara (Andy) Yoder of Millersburg and Mervin (Erma) Yoder of Baltic; 17 grandchildren; her sister, Amanda (Menno) Barkman of Baltic; her brothers, Dan (Sarah) Troyer of Sugarcreek, Noah (Anna) Troyer of Baltic and Levi (Elizabeth) Troyer of Sugarcreek; and brothers-in-law, John Schlabach of Millersburg and Andrew Miller Jr. of Sugarcreek.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Melvin; and sisters, Mary, Rosie and Sarah.
Services were Friday, May 12, 2017, at 9 a.m. at the Yoder residence, with minister Andy M. Miller officiating. Burial was in Miller Cemetery, Mechanic Township, Holmes County. Arrangements were handled by Smith-Varns Funeral Home at Sugarcreek.
