SUGARCREEK -- Janet N. Burrier, 83, of Sugarcreek died Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at Park Village Nursing Home in Dover after a brief illness.
She was born July 22, 1933, in Sugarcreek to the late Cletus and Bernice (Shutt) Troyer, and married Frank Burrier. He died Oct. 1, 1996.
She retired from the former Alsco Co. in Sugarcreek and was a member of Sugarcreek Church of the Brethren. She loved to bake, enjoyed sewing and quilting and was an avid gardener.
Surviving are her brothers and sisters, Myron (Twila) Troyer of Sugarcreek, Max Troyer of Walnut Creek, Marjorie Crilow of Canton and Nancy Swerline of Wooster; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister-in-law, Barbara Troyer.
In keeping with Janet's wishes, private services were held Saturday, May 13, 2017, at Smith-Varns Funeral Home, Sugarcreek. Pastor Dick Marshall officiated. Burial was in East Lawn Cemetery. To share a memory and sign the guest register, visit www.smithfuneral.com.
