INTERLACHEN, Fla. -- Wilma Bernice Cannoe, 83, of Interlachen, Fla., passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center after a brief illness.
A celebration of life service is Saturday, June 10, 2017, from 11 a.m.-noon at Glenmont Church of Christ, with Ed Stivers officiating.
She was born in Coshocton County and had been a resident of Interlachen for the past 34 years, coming from Jacksonville.
She had worked as a machine operator with Regal Ware Manufacturing and was an excellent seamstress. She had made many quilts for her church.
She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Interlachen and American Legion Auxiliary in Interlachen.
She enjoyed bowling and all the church activities, as well as participating in many of the American Legion Auxiliary activities.
Surviving are sons, Lester (Robin) Gray of Glenmont and Ben Gray (Tonya Miller) of Lexington; a daughter, Cheryl Conrad of Lake Okeechobee; grandchildren, Michelle Hartung, Ka-Sandra Streit and Louis Gray; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Marion Martin of Killbuck; and sisters, Norma Shinabarker, Dorothy Turner and Bonnie Martin, all of Glenmont, and Barb Chaney of Millersburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, AKCS Nicholas G. "Nick" Cannoe Sr., U.S. Navy (Ret.); a brother, William Martin; a grandson, Chad Gray; her parents, Lewis and Irene Martin; and a sister, Ruthann Dininger.
