MILLERSBURG -- Rosanna (Rose) A. Kauffman, 36, passed into eternity on June 14, 2017 in Tijuana, Mexico, after an 11-week battle with an autoimmune disease that started with strep throat and attacked her skin, kidneys, and finally her heart.
She passed away in the presence of her husband, Mark, youngest son, Timothy and special friends Jason and Elsie Weaver.
Rose was born Jan. 21, 1981, to Abe A. and Esther Raber in Sugarcreek.
Rose was the youngest of five brothers and one sister.
She was married Oct. 14, 1999, to Mark A. Kauffman, the son of Edward and Ruth Kauffman of Dundee. She is the mother of three sons and two daughters: Samantha Rose, 16; Jonathon Allen, 13; Bethany Esther, 10; James Jay, 8 and Timothy Grant, 2.
Rose loved the Lord and her desire was that others could find freedom in Christ. Mark and Rose made their home in western Holmes County and were currently serving a two-year term at Fresh Start Training Center in Washington, Ind., where they filled the position of house parents and counselors.
Calling hours were Monday, June 19, from 1-4 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. at Messiah Fellowship, 5237 State Route 557, Millersburg. The funeral was Tuesday, June 20, at 10 a.m. at Messiah Fellowship, with Bishop Phil Miller officiating. Burial was in Messiah Church Cemetery following the service.
Arrangements for the funeral were with Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg.
